Background:

Katharine Wright has a rather varied background, having worked for Poets-in-the-Schools in upstate New York, Cornell University, Syracuse University, Ross Park Zoo, Illinois State University, Penn State, The Student Bookstore in State College, PA, and UC Berkeley.

She has presented papers at only two conferences: the conference of International Zoo Educators in Edinburgh, Scotland and a conference of The Association for Research In Popular Fictions called "Beasts and Texts" in Leeds, England.

She currently shares her space with a border collie mix named Gracie and three rats named Potato, Olive and Fig.
